BRIDGING Spiritual teaching, intuitive healing, and design thinking.
Pearce discovered Reiki Healing the same time he entered Toronto's creative industry as an Art Director and Designer. This formed a deep conviction that both the creative process and the healing process are in essence the same and that one can be used to fuel the other.
experience
As a Reiki Master and Creative Director, Pearce facilitated healing workshops and guided meditations for brands and organizations, such as Lululemon, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Brain Station, SheJumps, Sunday+Night, Sister Merci, Common Citizen, Gusto Restaurant Group, and more. During his time teaching branding courses at OCAD University and Miami Ad School Toronto, Pearce began every class with a guided meditation, changing the way students see and integrate wellness in all they do and create.
As a Spiritual Teacher, he channels his energy guiding people toward true Self recognition with design-driven products and programs from Subtle Ground.
Currently, Pearce collaborates and consults out of Winnipeg, Canada, where he lives with his partner Jane, their 5 children, and their dog Maui.

“You will not find a more naturally insightful or soulful creative person than Pearce. His innate conceptual abilities are matched only by his artful and meticulous craft. He's the real deal."
DANIKA BAKER-SOHN, art director & Illustrator
“Pearce helped us students see the bigger picture. We understood the meaning of intentional design, and by extension, intentional living.”
I was a student in Pearce's design class at Miami Ad School. I cannot express enough how different the experience was from traditional educators—even the good ones.
From day one, he felt like a mentor. The level of safety, authenticity, curiosity, care, and sophistication we came to expect from a class with Pearce helped me personally open up. This allowed me to appreciate the holistic relationship between life, emotion, and design in ways I hadn't before.
He guided a meditation in class which lead me towards a significant personal breakthrough. It allowed me to start being honest about some things in myself I'd be neglecting pretty heavily. Having experiences like this outside of traditional therapy sheds an important light on how much we actually need these forms of mental and spiritual care integrated into everyday life.

“Working with Pearce is different. Creative isn't so much a practice or an execution with him, as much as it's a way of living, like it's all connected to something greater.”
There is a calm and sense of ease working with Pearce, where the forces working against you just melt away. Call it spirit, call it zen, call it whatever you want, but it envelops his partners and teams equally and simply makes the output better and the way of getting there smoother. There is no ego, no politicking, no "what about what I want"…there is just a product that everyone can be proud of.
